There are two categories of students who participate in the CLEO law school program – CLEO/Thurgood Marshall Fellows and CLEO/Thurgood Marshall Associates. Students who are enrolled and successfully complete the CLEO Summer Institute are referred to as Fellows. Students who participate in the Attitude Is Essential Pre-Law Seminar are referred to as Associates. The difference between these two groups of students is that Fellows are eligible to receive financial assistance awards and Associates are not. However, all law students, regardless of their classification, are eligible to participate in CLEO academic seminars and receive other services provided by the program, like academic support. Once CLEO Fellows and Associates graduate law school and pass the bar they enter into the category of distinguished alumni. |
